The story revolves around Félix who, on the eve of his 20th birthday, invites his new girlfriend, Queen, to spend two weeks on the island of Noirmoutier so that he can introduce her to his old friends. After the romantic misadventures of the previous year, when Félix was still struggling with excess weight, he is finally feeling vaguely self-confident and is starting to like himself a little, although he still can’t get over the fact that a beautiful girl like Queen could be interested in him, which feeds into his fear of their relationship failing. But when Queen arrives on the island, everything changes: catapulted into the middle-class world of Félix’s friends, Queen strikes all the wrong notes. The instigator of Felix’s metamorphosis soon becomes a burden for him, and the young man starts to share other people’s views on his beloved…
